On Saturday 14th September I got see some history that I couldnt be more prouder of. I was at the Walla Walla fnc presentation night 2013. I witnessed my 16 year old son be a joint winner of the senior best & fairest award something im sure any father would be proud of. But what hes done is he gave up playing in a u16 premiership with lavy juniors and the possibility of maybe an u18 one with lavy senior club to play senior footy with a club on a rebuildung phase. We all know we all love to play in premierships but the opportunity to play senior footy than underage premierships is way more challenging but to be a joint winner of a senior b&f at 16 years of age with a footballer of Mark Simms ability is something to be way proud of and something that your father couldnt be more proud of as I was of all my kids on the night after what I have put u all through this year your strenghth and courage to still peform at ur best every week was amazing I love u all well done. Shaun to only play 12 out of 18 games and achieve what you did was also great effort well done mate as your dad im envious of you im sure there are lots of people who are we all know its a team game and this recognition for playing that way
