On Saturday, November 5, 1988 I was nervous. I had a date that evening. It was our annual fire company banquet and it was the first time that I ever went with a date. A few weeks before, I was thinking about how I could ask this girl I worked with to go with me. I hinted around and finally got up the nerve to ask her. I was bracing myself for a flat-out no but to my surprise she said YES. That was 26 years ago..... 24+ years of marriage and 4 beautiful children later, shes still by my side. It hasnt been easy but were still here and were still us. So THANK YOU, Gale McCann Barry, for saying YES all those years ago. I love you!
