On Saturday Sept. 21 at 9 am the ES&P department is sponsoring a clean up of the Baker River in conjunction with the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup. In 2010 and 2012 the PSU effort has removed over 3,300 lbs. of trash from the Baker and the Pemi Rivers. The trash pick up is an all day affair and we do it rain or shine. If you are planning to participate please email Mark Turski at [email protected] and tell him if you are bringing a canoe and have a spare seat. He can provide you with more information about the clean up.
