On Saturday, September 21, Cornell Cooperative Extension-Broome County, Citizen U and 4-H Tech Wizards will host: Outta the Box Science that Rocks, a collaborative, community-wide Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) career exploration event from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Roberson Museum and Science Center. Outta the Box Science that Rocks is sponsored by CCE-BC’s CITIZEN U, 4-H Tech Wizards and Samsung Summer Science programs. The event will feature 20 interactive stations where event goers can learn about STEM careers through hands-on activities and have fun taking part in a STEM experiment. Interactive stations include: CSI Forensics Crime Lab, Strawberry DNA, Bike Your Own Smoothie, Bend Your Own Giant Paper Clip, Buzz on Bees and Honey Making, Bio-fueled S’mores, Robotics, Entomology, Eco-Swamp, Paper Making, Fiber Science, Anthropology Dig, and more. Admission is free. All school-age children are encouraged to attend. Rain or shine.
