On Saturday Vermillion Troopers responded to a motorcycle crash on the Burbank Road about 2 miles east of Vermillion, SD. A 1983 Kawasaki KZ1100-L was westbound on the county oil road when a gust of wind blew the motorcycle into the ditch. The driver attempted to control the motorcycle but the motorcycle tipped over throwing the driver off. The driver was not wearing a helmet and received minor injures. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The Clay County Sheriffs Department, Vermillion Police Department, Vermillion Fire and Rescue, and the Vermillion Ambulance assisted.
