On September 10th,1950,was the day my biggest hero and role model was born. My Dad, P. K. Kurian aka Mohan. He lived an exemplary life; generous, modest, humble yet proud of his Lord, Family and Church; a Loving and Faithful husband of 40 years (come Jan 27th); a pillar of strength and wonderful values to his sons (me and Kurian P Kurian) and daughter Gittin Charm John with sweet Olivia; was Always willing to take that extra step for the person he cares for and believes in; A passionate fan of sports and a major soccer player till his college days and for his 7s team into his Fifties; A patriotic Indian and Keralite (with his stern political affections); a staunch teetotaler; an extremely hardworking and sincere employee of his Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait for 38 years...never the last nor the least- a faithful obedient son of God. He was diagnosed and treated for Glioblastoma (grade IV) from 24th December 2013 which led him to being bed-ridden and mute for 360days till he entered into blissful peace yesterday morning. It was painful yet in joy i saw Daddy pass peacefully into eternal rest; away from the dreaded tubes, meds and pressure. God has blessed him and us to have him . His house is empty sans him but his voice and laughter will resonate forever in us and our memories. Missing him so much... :(
