On Sunday morning, my parents saved a mans life! No joke. They were on their morning walk at around 6am and they came across this man, probably in his 30s, screaming, Help me, help me...I dont want to die! Im so stupid...I made a mistake! My Mom looked at my Dad and said, Mike, we have to go help that guy!. So they ran across the street and my mother went straight to work. Lucky for the guy, my Mom works in a hospital and knew what to do. She applied pressure to the deep wound on his arm and told my father to run home and get a towel so she could apply a tourniquet. While my father was gone, the man kept slipping in and out of consciousness. She just held him and said, We all make mistakes sometimes. Youre going to be okay. The Lord is with you. Apparently his girlfriend was also on the scene but was frazzled. My Mother had her call 911. It took forever for the ambulance to arrive. But it did, and then he was whisked away. Lucky for that man my parents where in the right place at the right time. And lucky for that man, my parents instinct was to help him.
