On Thursday at about 3 am, we were on our way to Miller - TopicsExpress

On Thursday at about 3 am, we were on our way to Miller Motorsports Park. The drive would take 12 hours, which was the most traveling I had done in my career so far. I participated in Fridays track day to get prepared for the double. At first, I was struggling getting comfortable with a new track, but throughout the day I managed to get more confidence and ended up with a 2:17.3. I was still a few seconds off the pace. On Saturday, my first race would be Formula 2. My race began with a good start, but Daniel ended up passing me at the beginning of turn 1. I was hanging with him the whole race until I hit the candy stripes on the first attitude, but fortunately I was able to save it and rode away with a 2nd place finish. My second and final race of the day was the Kenny Anderson Formula 3. I got a good start, but Daniel got a better start. I tried to hang with him but after the halfway flag Daniel pulled away from me and I ended up finishing 2nd in that race also. My best laptime of the day was a 2:11.2. On Sunday, The first race of the day was Formula 2. I had a good start, but Nic had the best start. After passing Nic, I was able to hold the lead for one lap, but Daniel managed to get by me.Throughout the whole race the gap between me and Daniel was about 1 second. The gap stayed how it was and I ended getting another 2nd place. The final race of the weekend was theKenny Anderson Formula 3. I had a good start but again, Daniel went through the inside of me on turn 1. I was right on him the whole race, but everything came down to the last lap. I gained some time on him on turn 3 and I went for an inside pass on turn 4, but I was a little too far. On turn 5, he ran a little wide which gave me a chance to pass him on turn 6 (witchcraft). I was able to make the pass stick and I rode away with a 1st place finish. Id like to thank my family for their support, my dad for being the best mechanic, Stephen for his coaching, Eric for his tips, WERA for the awesome event and Daniel for pushing me and providing me with the 125. Id also like to thank my sponsors: Mid Cities Honda, Don Odom Racing, and SouthBay Motogp.
