Gee of Chatham Fields Lutheran Church in Chicago: Dear Tim, I am writing to ask the audience of your popular weekly newsletter to please help members of Chatham Fields Lutheran Church as we welcome a family of five from Liberia, West Africa. The family that arrived last week to the United States is [comprised of a] mother and father with three children - a girl age 14, and two boys ages 8 and 10. They are in need of clothes, blankets, food, toiletries, tooth brushes, toothpaste, and any household items that will be useful. Gift certificates to Wal-Mart, Target, or Jewel will work really well for them. As always, I thank your very generous audience in advance for hearing the numerous calls for help.
