Todays food for thought: God put on my heart about ten plus years ago to write a book and for a long time I didnt think I could do it. I would make excuses always letting the noise of life distract me or just simply not making it a priority to fit it into my busy schedule. Every time I brought a project to God that I wanted Him to help me with He would bring to my remembrance the book He put on my heart to write. What was funny was that all my projects failed and when I would cry to God about my failures He would simply bring to my remembrance that book He put on my heart to write. I loved writing but I saw writing books as this big thing that only college professors or people with multiple degrees could accomplish. I didnt think it was within my reach so I didnt pursue it but God would not let me get away from it. I finally made up my mind that I could do it and started writing. Surprisingly I was actually doing it until I got to the 7th chapter and one of my children accidently spilled an entire glass of water on my hard drive and fried my computer. I didnt have a backup so I cried like a baby and was convinced that it wasnt in the cards for me. I decided to go back to trying other things only to continue my tract record of failing. Of course when I cried to God about my failures He brought that book to my remembrance again. My initial response was, God, you saw what happened when I tried to write this book before, but I dont think that mattered to Him because the pressing on my heart continued. Needless to say after ten plus years and thousands of excuses and distractions, Waiting on Gods Promises was finally born. The main point of this story is, if God gave you a vision or a mission to accomplish He will not let you get away from it. It will surely come to pass no matter how long it takes or how many excuses you make, it will come forth! Always remember what God showed you or spoke into your spirit and know that GOD IS MORE THAN ABLE TO BRING IT TO PASS! chereharris
