Finding God For me the word God describes what cannot be described. The Great Mystery. It is undefinable. Unlimited. Inconceivable. Ineffable. It is infinite, unchanging and eternal. And yet even these words fall away, crumble in the face of the Great Mystery. And yet somehow This can be known directly, experienced as an Ultimate Reality. If we turn our normal attention around 180 degrees and look instead at what is looking and keep looking, keep enquiring, dont we end up finding the very same Great Mystery? Isnt this where we find God? In the movie Being John Malkovich, there is a brilliant scene where John Malkovich goes into his own portal and ends up seeing a world made up entirely of Malkovich. All men, women, children have the face of John Malkovich. Every word spoken or written is just Malkovich. All there is is Malkovich. In some ways, this is an analogy for how I have come to see the world and how I see God. It is inside and outside. It is in every person, every being, every object. Not as a face or a word of course, but as this ineffable Mystery. It cant be described. It cant be known as we know with the mind. And yet Here it is. Permeating everything. Every cell. Every molecule. This infinite and eternal Mystery. Certain people become ripe to See in this way. And with these people, through your Seeing, it is possible to have a meeting God to God. It is an extraordinarily beautiful experience. Others for various reasons already See in this way and through their Seeing they can prompt you to remember when you have forgotten, when the mind has overshadowed this clear Seeing. And even with those who do not See in this way, it is important that you do. That you See what is real and not through the mind filters. To See in this way is Oneness, Unity, Harmony. To See in this way is Healing. To See in this way is Love. And it creates its own mysterious and miraculous changes.
