On Wednesday I hope to get to the bottom of what is causing my abdominal pain and bloating and recent abnormal bleeding. Ever since July Ive had intermittent abdominal pain that varies from so bad it makes me want to cry to none at all- with most days having no pain. However the pain has been more frequent in the last two weeks. On December 18 my pain level went from zero to an 8 as I was walking back to my classroom after lunch. Last week I spent four of the five days with doctors and again yesterday when I saw a specialist in female problems. Apparently another side effect of the cancer drug Im on (called Tomoxifen) is an increased risk for uterus cancer. So my doctors worked hard to schedule both exploratory surgeries tomorrow morning. In 30 minutes I begin the cleansing process of drinking disgusting stuff to prepare myself for a colonoscopy. Im gonna be busy for most of the night. The other procedure is called an Hysteroscopy and looks for evidence of cancer inside the uterus. I will be put under for both procedures at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Please keep me in your prayers.
