On Wednesday, July 24 at 7:30 the Boone Municipal Band will present its tenth concert in the Herman Park Pavilion in Boone. The songs that will be performed during this week’s concert are as follows. 1)Star Spangled Banner 2)Columbia-Eagle March by James Sclater 3)Famous Melodies Of Tschaikowsky arranged by James Ployhar 4)Pyramid Dance by Leroy Anderson 5)Crown Him With Many Crowns A Fanfare Perlude by James Swearingen 6)Small Group 7)Highlights from Mary Martin’s Peter Pan arranged by Walter Beeler 8)The Iowa Band Law by Karl King 9)America, The Beautiful! composed by August Ward and arranged by Carmen Dragon The concert, as well as the festival, is free and will be performed rain or shine. There will be an ice cream social provided by one of the local Boone churches. From US 30 travel north on Story Street approximately 1 mile, turn left on Woodland, the first west street north of the stop lights on Park Avenue, and travel two blocks on Woodland. The Herman Park Pavilion will be to the left and on a hill. Picnic tables under the pavilion provided. Lawn chairs are welcomed! This concert will conclude our season.
