On Wednesday October 22nd, the Work Activity Center hosted a breakfast to honor its volunteers, donors, and business partners. Along with a great breakfast, clients from the Creative Arts program performed--even getting the audience to participate in one dance. Two companies were recognized at the event. The American Express Center for Community Development was presented with the Humanitarian Partnership Award for giving to the Center for almost ten years and being one of the first donors to the Center’s Employment Services’ program. The Boyer Company was given the Community Spirit Award for their work in making the building renovations a reality. In addition to their service with the building projects many of their employees have volunteered as board members. The Work Activity Center could not continue to offer the variety of services to its clients without the generosity of all their community partners. THANK YOU!
