On a Positive Note: I have rediscovered my love of all people, even if I am disappointed. Anything that causes you to love harder, to think deeply, and to reach out to your fellow person, has the power to bring about some good. Good things that this fiasco has done for me personally: - Pulled the wool from my eyes - Opened up dialogue between myself and others - Helped me check my privilege and make my sadness/anger productive - Caused me to write more, create more, sing louder - Inspired me to listen to more positive music (hey there Motown!) - Made me more grateful for all that I have - Made me realize that what I have to offer, be it love, or an ear, is valuable - Helped me feel more connected to people with whom I once felt I could not relate - Encouraged me to speak with my parents about what they witnessed growing up - Helped me appreciate having older parents I pray that we all can find a way to make this bring about good, and not greater turmoil. I choose to use this as a catalyst for my own evolution into High Thinking and Being. May you never be drowned by the negativity of it all.
