On a day in November, 1620, sixteen men Under the direction of Captain Myles Standish went ashore to find ,what they could find,after going ten miles they finally found fresh water,which they needed as they had no beer, or water left.walking on the beach, because it was very hard to walk through the woods, they found a little path to certain heaps of sand, one was covered with old mats and has a wooden mortar overturned on top of it, there was an earthen pot laid there also.They dug around it and found a bow and arrows that were rotten. They thought them to be graves so they put back these things and tried to make the site as it had been,because it would be odious unto them to ransack their sepulchers( graves) . This was a surprise to me
