On a day in which I am proud to have made a strong demonstration and commentary on the complete unacceptability of predatory police violence on people of color I want to make this clear: I am equally, without shades, hues, or gradations against the use of violence against police. The news about what happened today in New York is of immense tragedy. It is appalling and reprehensible. I cannot more strongly condemn the use of violence as a supposed means to express grievances. It is never effective on long-term systematic levels. It is never effective on short-term solution levels. It is unacceptable and I stand against it here, now, publicly.
