On a personal note: I have been battling a couple of semi-serious health issues at the same time and I FEEL like I am losing both battles. A week ago, I woke with what looked like a bug bite of some sort on the side of my stomach. I did the normal doctor at home things. Still, over night it doubled in size and grew deeper into my body. I had a doctor appointment that day and was given antibiotics to combat the infection that was growing inside me. They helped but not enough. During work one day, it doubled in size again. I left work and went to the er express at the hospital on the advise of a friend and supervisor. I was given more meds and sent home. Last night the now abscess broke open while at work and began to ooze poison down my side. I again left work and went to the er express at the hospital. This time, the nice lady tried to squeeze the infection out but found it much deeper than expected. She cut it out. Though all of this, of the people who knew, I have found that I do have more friends than I thought. So, I have said all of the above to say thank you to those of you who have kept an eye on me and cared for me. I am used to ignoring my own needs in favor of the others under my care. I guess I will have to be better at taking care of me.
