On a recent call with a woman who was seeking my guidance for a challenging situation at work, she started by saying: I know change starts with me. I want to know what I need to do or what I need to learn. I know the situation is really about me, more so than it is about the other person. Wow! I explained that just by having that level of awareness, she was already ahead of the game. Change starts with us including our thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, willingness to take responsibility, and the way we choose to respond to circumstances in our lives.
