On a regular basis,I come across the view of my peers in retrospect to the way us as a race are viewed, treated, etc..... Reality is, the complete solution may not exist in our lifetime. What we can do today, is start taking responsibility for what we can change. The children of our community are being raised by television, music, and social media. The family aspect is failing... We put a lot in to what we do, such as buying our loved ones the finer things,but fail to admit to what we dont....have you checked your childs social media page lately? Do you turn up more than you read to your child? We are a strong race and if we save time pointing out societal problems, we would have more time to fix and tweek a few.... Shout out to the educators, community activists, coaches, mentors, business owners, scholars, the everyday working man or woman, who takes a moment out their day to acknowledge the problem and attempt a helping hand..... Its the smallest things sometimes that can make a big difference. I will embrace those in my community who are willing to assist my son in his growth and development the same way I am thankful for those who assisted my parents in raising me.... I was far from perfect, but I knew better... So I did better.... My point is- be there.... Spend time with the kids in your family, your community, etc... Start a network based on your lifestyle- if you are a single mother- start a group to uplift another... The same for single fathers. Dedicate time to the solutions...... #itsthelittlethings
