On a very human and life affecting level: It is worth noting that there is massive potential for abuse of Mr. Abbotts snitch policy in the public service. The possibility of framing an innocent worker by setting them up as a dissenter even accusing them falsely is now very real. It is a gift from the government for any disliked or unpopular workers, politically unpopular staffers, or strongly opinioned individuals to be framed, setup and even sacked for such activities and without adequate proof or defence they are utterly powerless to prove their innocence. It is not inconceivable and in fact is relatively easy to achieve if you know how and have access to certain technologies. Apart from being intimidatory, a strong vehicle for ruining workplace morale, security and worker enthusiasm, it opens the door for some subtle forms of bullying and persecution in the workplace that would not be possible without this policy. It is a potentially very highly destructive and violating bullying mechanism and tool that has been conceived, implemented and employed by very real bullies but of such a kind that they are in total denial of that fact
