On behalf of the board of the Chis Ward Memorial Foundation, we’d like to make the following important announcements: • On October 11, 2014, the CWMF completed its transition. The board, which consisted of Maureen Ward (President), Stephen Ward (Vice President) and Brittany Ward (Member) voted unanimously to add Greg Ward as Treasurer and Felicia DiFonzo as Secretary. All IRS documentation and By-Laws have been updated and filed accordingly. • The Mission Statement remains unchanged and can be found on any of our websites. • The Chis Ward Memorial Foundation board would like to thank the prior board members for their previous service and efforts in making the foundation so successful. We look forward to the continued support from Chris’s family, relatives, and friends in the future. Now, onto the good stuff... • We are pleased to announce that on February 22nd, 2015 we will continue our Annual St. Practice Day fund raiser at the North Brunswick Pub! Many thanks to the Disney Organization for their donation of 4 Walt Disney World Single Day Hopper Passes! This will be paired with a one week stay at a nearby timeshare and is just one of the big ticket items you can expect to see at our biggest fundraiser of the year! Stay tuned for some more sneak peeks. • We’re looking to resume our ‘Day at the Races’ event next year – That date is TBD and will be announced early next Spring! • The Foundation will continue our scholarship opportunities in the spring and volunteer work with Big Brother/Big Sister organization at their annual beach volleyball tournament next September! It’s hard to believe that in one week, it will be the 4th anniversary of Chris’s passing. There are no words to express how it feels to see another October 25th come and go. We all know each and every one of you has a special place in your heart for your coworker, best friend, family member, and confidant. It’s through the combined efforts of all those who love him that has kept Chris’ memory alive. The Chris Ward Memorial Foundation needs your ongoing support as we move forward to make sure his legacy continues in the way that it should. This isn’t just for Chris, this is for his name to be heard by all those around us. This movement is for all those lives he has touched in the past and those he could have reached if he were still with us. With your help, we can expand our horizons and reach those people. We want to take the time to thank you for all you have done in the name of Chris and thank you for your continued support going forward with this transition.
