On celebration and sinning. New year is coming. Coming is a wrong word, as time is relative and quantification is little hard to achieve and keeping aside the metaphysical aspects many were kind enough to invite me to join for celebration. I hate any sort of celebration be it marriage or birthday (my own). Let me tell you why. I see it as a sin. Its been an year and half in Mumbai but I didnt get anything for myself, not even a shirt, unless my parents push it down my throat. Its a sin. I dont quite get the nerve to celebrate. I dont. Seeing how poor people are. How much they dont have a house of their own, how are they sleeping on the roads, how do they survive if they are ill. Life has to be observed very very carefully. This is what I learned. If you agree to disagree this post may not be for you, and its purely my view. A farmer who stands all the day in scorching sun wouldnt even earn a quarter of a person who learned some software sitting in AC rooms would earn. We kept so and so norms that if you learn so and so and you can earn, but for what ? Nature cares a damn about atoms or zeta function. For her, everything is same. And humans cant even come close to c of cosmos, when were minute specks of dust, and what if we are just a rats living in gutter fighting for food ? As much as we see rats what if we are so for some higher dimensional beings ? We arent sure. But since its the norm of society its fine, but every penny I spend mindlessly is someone elses food. People say we earned it. And they dont earn. Unless we see from the POV of them we shouldnt even say that. Imagine you are born on roads can you buy the same argument that you are uneducated ? The chances of father sperm fertilising mothers ovum made us born in a culture and shaped our life. Its not that we used any opportunity. Government may be stupid and a person on road wont understand the need for education. For him food is God so are other things till he settles down in a suitable step in Maslows pyramid. So till then every penny I spend meaninglessly is futile. Person who watches life closely cant celebrate, he knows the futility of it. Even the president or prime minister is for us but not for the nature. So doing something in this small span of life, may be a sort of escape. That too after knowing it. Because we didnt earn anything except what nature has given us, and its as much as the joke of God. God laughs twice. When two brothers sit and fight saying that side of the land is mine and other side is yours, and when a doctor says dont worry I would handle her life. Before grand scheme of things we are nothing. So either one realises that and act or fool oneself by giving convenient reasons or dedications. Human law is not even close to natures laws. Hence any law (newtons or Einsteins) are universal. They apply to everything. And still they arent complete. Every penny mindlessly spent on ourselves is worthless. I never asked to stop enjoyment, if one sees the life, one cant enjoy intrinsically. One on the other hand says nothing happens if we spend this much, we would reform the whole world tomorrow. Thats a lie. One who is on the path of working or helping wont make exceptions. His attitude would be the same. In major and minor aspects. One can definitely do something by not wasting time or money and one can achieve nothing but temporary happiness as much as well in frogs. People mourn for sometime or remain far from celebration if one passes away or something bad happens. If one is not anthropocentric one can see such things happening 24*7 but no one cares as its not concerning us. Me and mine. Better lose that and make it a new year resolution. Thats a way of living. Its just my view.
