On day one (Tuesday, July 30th) of the 2013 U.S. Open Swimming Championships at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center, Baylor School / Baylor Swim Club athlete Sam McHugh had two impressive swims in the 200 meter butterfly. He competed in the championship final in the event, and took eighth place overall to earn a spot on the medal podium. Earlier during the prelims session he swam a personal best time of 1:59.23 in the 200 fly.
