On many occasions, ICS students studying for professional - TopicsExpress

On many occasions, ICS students studying for professional qualifying two (PQE II) have sort my advise. Most have wanted to understand the approach to successfully answering legal principle queries. Their major concern have been on case studies and whether it is a must that every question answered should have a case study to justify and drive the point My advise: you do not necessarily have to use case studies to quantify and explain every point you make. You can imagine a preacher who have to give so many parables while preaching....such end up taking too much time and being too boring. It is however good to understand a few case studies, site practical or possible examples as well know appropriate means of convincing the examiners. Some times, plain wordings and simple English does it. Finally, I observe that most students are good in quoting current and historic case studies but a closer look at those quoted case studies fail to prove relevance and a relationship to legal point being driven. Been concentrating on shipping law though it a little bit demanding. Lovely weekend!
