On my mind? ... Gods faithfulness. A 13 year old child, sister of a friend, went missing earlier this week after several months of escalating self destructive behavior - the stuff we parents cant bear to consider possible. Amber alert, police reports, sleepless nights, and fervent desperate prayers ... this friend went to work to copy off missing child posters and our co-worker (who lives in a different county) looked over and IDENTIFIED the girl as the one shed seen getting into a semi truck with a middle aged man earlier that afternoon, at a fruit stand ... 40 miles away. Police were notified and they found her. They found her. To say coincidence would be an insult to the mystery of Gods fierce love for his suffering children ... and the mystery of prayer. How does that all work. I suppose I will continue to pray :), for this sweet child to find rest. Of course healing. And that the presence of the Divine will touch every piece of this process, every soul that takes part. Thanks be to God.
