On our drive home from Carlsbad, Nadine and I were talking about - TopicsExpress

On our drive home from Carlsbad, Nadine and I were talking about expectations we have of others, and the conflict that happens when others fail to meet our expectations. Its often because we assume those expectations are known, or otherwise fail to express or communicate them. People are not clairvoyant. Along those lines, people have certain assumptions about the way things should be. Sometimes people get upset when reality deviates from their assumptions. They get confused by the facts because theyve been brainwashed by pundits on talk radio and cable TV. Further along those lines, this piece addresses 15 long-held assumptions that deserve another look. The older I get (63 now) the more I realize lifes two most precious gifts are life itself, and happiness, however each individual defines it and achieves it. By rethinking some of these assumptions, we may be happier. If you got this far, take 3 more minutes and read the piece. ;) And thank you, Micaela my niece, for sharing this. I get it.
