On our first wedding anniversary my I was told that i had testicular cancer and that if it wasnt removed swiftly, we could risk paying the ultimate price. Through my blogging, googling and twitter, we found a lot of support and more importantly, the statistics that go with this terrible disease. We found that it is one of the most treatable of all cancers and only usually causes death due to delay in diagnosis often caused by the males feeling too shy, embarrassed or to afraid to get it checked. we need to change this, we need to help raise the profile and potentially seriousness in delaying diagnosis. Men and women need to be more open to the chances, the symptoms and the importance of recognising the symptoms early. justgiving/Richard-laker1
