On our last day in Lalibela we stopped at a Monastery on the way to the airport to catch our flight to Adidas Ababa. It was built under a cliff and reminded me of the Anastasi cliff dwellings out west in the United States. There was a slight water fall spilling over the edge of the cliff which rained down in front of the monastery. This water was considered to have healing properties. While there the priest blessed us by sprinkling (actually throwing) this water on our heads. Heres a brief iPhone video of Amy getting the sprinkle treatment.
