On our way back from Las Vegas delivering a Clay County rescued - TopicsExpress

On our way back from Las Vegas delivering a Clay County rescued Rottweiler, I have lots of time to contemplate things. As most of you know, Lynzi Teagle and I own Shampoochies Grooming & Boutique. Over the last 2 1/2 years, Shampoochies has pretty much supported our rescue efforts. Also, over the last three years, I have offered numerous times to deliver foods to people, to special order items, etc. I can count on one hand how many people have even come to our shop much less the people that have taken me up on those offers. Pretty much whenever asked to take a dog or two or five, and many times a few cats, I was there to pull them. Taking on special needs dogs, those that needed special food, those that were sanctuary dogs and as you all remember Rocko with his huge masses. Still, there was minimal support from those involved. Recently, through a major misunderstanding, I feel even less welcome and feel like more support is given to those that are new to the area or those that arent the ones feeding the animals, picking up the poop and pee, and the ones paying the hundreds even thousands of medical bills for these animals. When you read this, understand that my business should come first, but for the last two and a half years, it hasnt. I will not stop rescuing, but I will go where I feel appreciated and supported. My business is suffering and obviously, asking for support hasnt worked.
