On the 23rd of January 2014, was the 117th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He was Indias most famous armed revolutionary who had build an army, known as the Indian National Army, or INA, for fighting against British rule in India. Research into the events surrounding Netajis disappearance on the 18th of August, 1945, in a plane crash in Taiwan has revealed, that no flight with the purported flight number and with Netaji on board, had ever left Taiwan on the 18th of August in 1945. It is widely believed that Netaji was imprisoned by the Soviets. Once in a one-on-one between former Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and former Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev in the city of Moscow, the latter had told Nehru, that he could produce Subhash Bose in front of him, within 45 minutes. At present, classified documents revealing considerable evidence about the whereabouts of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, following his disappearance in 1945, lie concealed in the Prime Ministers office. The Congress government has repeatedly refused to divulge the documents, citing the defense, that making the documents public, would sour Indias foreign relations, with a number of countries. It was men like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who had pressed forward with the demand of unconditional and complete independence for India. On the other hand, it was Mahatma Gandhi and his coterie within the Congress Party, who had entered into a pact with the Britisher Lord Erwin, to bestow India, with a dominion status. Being a British dominion would imply, that Indian soldiers would have to fight Britains wars. Despite the betrayal of Gandhi and the scandalous nature of the Gandhi-Irwin pact, Gandhiji is still called Indias Father Of The Nation, while Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who made great personal sacrifices for the freedom of India from British rule, has been denied the Bharat Ratna.
