On the 24th of April 2013, a large garment manufacturing unit located in the Savar district of Dhaka, the Bangladeshi capital collapsed. More than a thousand, mainly women and young mothers died. In the first event of its kind a year on from the Rana Plaza disaster, thiis event will be taking a look at ethics in the garments industry, fashion and consumerism in Islam. Date: 27th of April 2014 Venue: The London Muslim Centre Time: 6pm Panellists include: - Sheikh Shams Adduha Muhammad (Imam & director of the Ebrahim College) - Orsola De Castro (co-founder of Fashion Revolution day & member of the British Fashion Council) - Mushfique Uddin (Director of Khalil Foundation).
