Why is my Dua not Answered? When we read the Duaa of our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, we find that it is way different than ours! A lot of the Muslims complain that they ask Allah but don’t seem to find any result. Did you ever ask yourself; why my Duaa is not being answered? If you read the authentic Duaa of our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, you will find a common denominator between them. He was given the concise of speech; few words that include deep and profound meanings. However, all of his Duaa express one thing; our Prophet’s humility, poverty and submissiveness to Allah. No wonder Allah referred to him in the Quran, as “My servant or slave”! Now, if we analyze our hearts when we make Duaa, we will find that we are heedless and not expressing anything except arrogance. We call Allah as if we are demanding what is ours instead of portraying our poverty and need! We are ignorant of the etiquette of supplications and the best times for it. Therefore, next time you raise your hands for Duaa, look again at your heart and take a good look; is it a heart that pleases Allah?
