On the 25 of May the Jewish community of Hungary and friends of Israel celebrated the 66th anniversary of the Independence of the State of Israel in St. István park, Budapest. It was a day full of Israeli culture, concerts and dance performances as well as sport programs for the children. During the festive day, visitors could experience the full spectrum of Israeli cuisine in the “Shuk”. The Israel day, which was organized by the Israeli Cultural Institute in Budapest, offered an opportunity to the 3000 guests to meet the Zionist organizations in Hungary, like the youth movements, Herzl Center, Maccabi VAC, Hungarian Zionist Federation and many others.
