On the 3rd December (International Day of Disabled People) NUS - TopicsExpress

On the 3rd December (International Day of Disabled People) NUS will be having a conversation with the whole student movement. We will be getting people to blog about their experience of being disabled, often for the first time; the student movement will be a buzz with conversations about disability by disabled people. Our Union wants to be part of this conversation. We want to challenge people’s preconceived ideas about what disability is and what disability means to different people. We are asking for people to submit blogs about their experience, even if youre blogging or talking about your disability for the first time (Coming out as disabled!) we want to hear your point of you, and what you have to say. We will be posting the blogs on our Union website. Not sure if you are disabled? Disability is self defining, if that is not how you want to define yourself then that is 100% ok, if you want to contribute anyway, then wed be really pleased to hear from you!
