On the 68th Day of Independence, I am reminded of the message to the nation by Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammed Ali Jinnah, on August 15th, 1947 Pakistan is a land of great potential resources. But to build it up into a country worthy of the Muslim nation, we shall require every ounce of energy that we possess and I am confident that it will come from all whole-heartedly. Unfortunately today, Pakistan is caught in a political quagmire; we are viciously divided: corruption, nepotism and selfishness have soaked in to our entire social fabric. We have failed to make progress in the development of the State and seem to have lost interest in thinking of the welfare and well being of our people. Time has come to comprehensively reform the system and seek a fresh mandate from the people of Pakistan. On this sacred day of our Independence, we must resolve to re-commit ourselves to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and define our mission to always think of Pakistan First. :)
