On the 7th of July I went in for abdominal surgery to remove the excess fat (I have lost 100 pds over a 7 year period) to hopefully relieve the pain in my back from a work related injury from 4 years ago (Taking the excess weight off should help the back. Dr.s said....mind you this is paid out of my pocket) 3 days after surgery the Dr. Was very impressed with my progress....and said I could take a shower. I did so the next day and also stopped taking pain meds. I was a recovering machine! Then on the 7th day of recovery...I got a temp....saw the Dr. And started taking pain meds again and antibiotics. But the next day my fever shot up and over 103. I was hospitalized. I have an infection.....why? Because my skin was allergic to the tape used and caused my skin to blister which broke open. I am only telling you this story as I have shared a few others, there is always a lesson. One of which I learned a long time ago....KNOW your body!....Dont take chances with the clues your given. I am still in the hospital...and no one is talking yet about my discharge yet....but I know one thing...had I waited a day or two longer I might not have been able to type this. (forgive my writing...I am stil on pain meds and its taking me 45 min just to type this lol). Anyway...dont close your eyes and hide with fear of the unknown...use your clues and check them out...now....I just want to be better...I have two job interviews on Tuesday! My daughter may have to be my partner in crime and steal me out of this place and return me after my interviews..life can b so interesting!
