...On the News, they just talked about a huge, Memphis apt. fire, last night, that took over 100 firefighters/first responders to handle it. Also, I was in the ER last night (not where I work), w/ a sick friend, & I witnessed 4 paramedics bring in a man that had literally been brought back~the dear man was in his bed, wide awake, as if nothing happened~except he was talking about how his chest was sore from them pushing on it. If you are one of the many folks who frequently complains about your high property taxes OR that this city has way too much crime OR that First Responders arent fast enough, etc.???. Just keep in mind that this all occurred in a 5 hour period~just 2 emergencies going on at the same time, along w/ possibly 100 more in our city/county. If we want to better this awesome city, one of THE most important things that we must do is adequately fund/staff/pay the MPD, MFD, & all the other First Responders in the surrounding areas. Then, when YOUR home is on fire or YOUR loved one is at deaths door, you will be thankful...#myPSAfortheday...
