On the drive home from Wichita Falls, TX, Liz wanted to stop in Bowie, TX for ice cream since there was a Dairy Queen there & she had fond memories there as a child. What could be more "Small Town Texas" then getting ice cream after a High School football game. When we got to the Dairy Queen, it was closed for the night. As a matter of fact, everything was closed for the night on the main drag except a 24 hour McDonalds which had a line to the drive thru a half block long. I guess, "Small Town Texas" closes after 10PM.
