On the eve of 67th Anniversary of Indian Independence I want to - TopicsExpress

On the eve of 67th Anniversary of Indian Independence I want to say; History has witnessed Muslims were not behind in sacrificing their blood for India’s freedom, In fact there are many evidences which states it were the Muslims first who started the spark of rebellion. Muslims lost not thousands but lacs of scholars in war for freedom. Still, even after 67 years of India’s independence we Muslims are looked down upon as traitor, as an outsider, as an invader, etc. Even after 67 years of India’s independence, every now n then Muslims’ patriotism is questioned. Since 67 years not a single 15th August or 26th January would have passed without National Song (Saare Jahaan se Acha) being played all over the country, a song which was written by Allaamah Iqbal (who was a Muslim) yet the credibility of Muslims as an Indian are always questioned. What could be worse than Muslims questioned for adhering to their faith (by men keeping beard or women wearing hijab)? Whereas the Sikh community never gets such sort of treatment for adhering to their faith. There are reports of Muslims being denied land or flat in few parts of certain metropolitan cities. Yet after going through all this, We Muslims have never ever blamed any particular community as a whole for all this Even though we as a community always gets blamed for few bunch of black sheep of our community. It’s so saddening to see anti-Muslim sentiments growing more n more in this country. Just take an example of recent forged case of GangRape and forced conversion of Meerut, the hatred for Muslims is on such a peak that many even without knowing the authenticity of case went on to attack Muslims and Islam as a whole. This is just a small example amongst thousands. Even after going all through this, we still pray for the betterment, development and growth of the country, we as a Muslims still feel we are integral part of this country, we still feel we have an equal responsibility like any other in building India. We hope, hope and hope the time will come when this country will be free from hatred towards any community. And that time will not come until and unless we (all as Indians) stop supporting those who sows the seeds of hatred for any particular community. Then we can proudly say ‘Saare Jahaan se Acha Hindustan Hamaara’. We Muslims are so much close to our land that we are going to be buried right beneath this land after our death. And Insha Allaah we will be raised up right from this very land on the Day of Judgement. “Tum kehte ho yeh desh tumhara nahin hamaara hai, Arre hum to marr ke bhi yeh desh nahin chhorne waale..” Sincerely, A common Indian Muslim, Abul Kalam #Freeindia #IndependenceDay
