On the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2015 a haul truck driving northbound on County Road 550 was struck in the back end by an automobile, also traveling northbound. The accident occurred approximately two miles south of County Road 510. First and foremost our concern is with the well-being of the family. A teenage girl riding in the automobile received critical injuries and was airlifted to the University of Michigan Pediatric Neuro-Surgery Department. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and the family. Eagle has suspended hauling until 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015. We are actively following the situation as it evolves. We will continue to work with the local authorities in the ongoing accident investigation. Regular updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
