On the list of things I hate, websites that force me to use Internet Explorer are right up there with people who drive too slow in the fast lane. Sure, after 20 years Microsoft has finally produced a version of IE that isnt a completely bloated piece of shit. The latest version works okay, more or less, but the design still feels like something put together by a defense contractor to government spec, bland, ugly, and smelling of urinal mints. I hate it. And I hate being forced to use it. Websites that force me to use IE often have other bad habits, such as a non-standard, non-intuitive layouts with fixed fonts that make me think Im reaching through a time portal into 1992 to order parts by entering SQL strings into dBase. If youre a web developer, heads up, its the second decade of the 21st Century. Seriously. The second decade. Of the 21st Century.
