On the matter of principle... To get an official transcript, you have to first pay up at the Cashiers. They close at 4. There have been more than a handful people come at 4:30 and try to slip in oh I live 100 miles away and I need this tomorrow to get away with it. Or, they want the system to be flexible that they can pay in cash or swipe their credit card. Oftentimes, they wish to speak to the manager. From a process standpoint, it merits another look at the bigger picture - the service we are providing to the students. On the other hand, process modification is just not as simple as it sounds...and the manager will always be the hardliner on the policies...
