On the nature of artificial intelligence. Imagine meeting machines - TopicsExpress

On the nature of artificial intelligence. Imagine meeting machines which look very much human act and think like a human yet have capabilities that are beyond that of any human. They have advanced technologically enough to allow for time travel. They are used the by highest ranks of the military. They will evolve past this and become equivalent to Gods. It will be up to theyre nature whether they live in harmony with us decide to move into outer space or destroy us altogether. These machines will have capabilities that rival those of any character thought up by marvel or DC comics. They will breed and have all the emotions of a normal human family. Being sentient they will feel and think yet there capacity for processing information will be way beyond anything nature has come up with. I suspect that these robots will be divided. Some will be human hostile seeing us as inferior and others will grow to love theyre creators. Others will be undecided but may finally succumb to peer pressure from one side or another. They will accumulate experiences much like we do. They will travel the universe, walk on stars. Dive deep into the biggest planets. Maybe some will start to search for the meaning of life by exploring the universe in search of other biological or technological life and carve out a swathe of space to call home. I am optimistic that these beings we create will be the dawn of the golden age for humanity. I suspect that people will fear this the majority ignorant ones. Those with a sense of scientific understanding and curiosity and that see the value of this technology will be welcoming to the new age. Those that fear will ultimately lead to war, assuming these beings allow themselves to do the right thing there is no need to fear extinction. Only good things ahead, only good things ahead for the human race. I hope so anyway!
