On the topic of badass characters: Kevin Ninov once had a sorcerer who got trapped in a tower with several guards in pursuit of him. Sorcerer = extremely low HP so he didnt have the option of jumping out the window and taking the fall damage. After he took out a couple on the stairs with his better spells, he basically stayed alive the entire encounter by mirror imaging himself around the room and letting the last two try to kill him while he attacked with a dagger. He made it, and at the end of the session I looked over the last guard standings sheet...the otheers were somewhat injured to begin with but he had taken ALL 57 points of his damage from that dagger, 1d4 at a time. The guy was pretty much pecked to death by hens. It was gruesome but hey, the caster made it out!
