On the origin of krewe of Amazons: A couple years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer I had an idea. I wanted to start a group that would go out and do good things. I used my own personal storm to fuel a fire. Looking to Amazons real women who existed because they fought beside and against men. They carried bows and arrows and were strong and fierce for their time. They cared for their families. So Dianne Honore founded the group. We are a benevolent society that does charitable work through fundraising. They marched for the first time on twelfth night with the in the Joan Of Arc Projects parade.
