On the subject of judging others: When people say only God can judge me. Or who are you to judge? I cant help but feel that they are trying to dodge a reasonable observation about their behavior. That they are doing their best to avoid being held accountable for their actions. That those kinds of comments are the kind that only people who know they do questionable things make. I come from the school of thought that if youre willing to take the praise of others that you should also consider their criticisms. Which is not to say you have to take to heart what every single person says but that it is all too self serving to accept what you want to hear and ignore what you dont. We are always told not to care what others say about us and although that may be good advice to a degree, in a world full of jealous and immature people, just as science values peer reviewed studies as a source to discover truth and overcome bias we must also CONSIDER others view points even when pulling us into an unflattering light. If we never do, we may end up as one of those narcissistic assholes who thinks their shit dont stink and asserts that anyone who says otherwise is a hater. So judge me all you like, I welcome it. Question my motives, form your opinions, evaluate how I conduct myself but just do me the favor of giving me a chance to address your assertions. Trust me if I dont care to, I wont. *share if you agree*
