On this Australia Day I will be watching John Pilgers documentary showing the truth about our history. Lest we forget. youtube/watch?v=5XfSCBNTzAI I dream of an Australia Day when we as Australians come to terms with our history, recognise Aboriginal sovereignty and make treaties with the Original peoples of this land. Then we can truly celebrate and know that justice, prosperity and freedom belong to all. I pay my respects for the 26th January to all Aboriginal people of this land, foremost in my mind and heart are the Nyul Nyul and Nyoongar peoples. I acknowledge the stories of pain, suffering and injustice of the past and the present. Commemorating Survival Day.
