On this Ninth Day of Christmas My Beloved Mother: Part one of 1983s Live Mother Santa Holmes in action . . . English, Latin & Shakespeare Teacher Mrs. Holmes She played Mrs. Santa Claus annually for each of her classrooms; this is a rare videotaped event by my relative Scott Dickison. This is Part 1 of 5 segments. She was known throughout her teaching career from Mckell High School in South Shore, Kentucky to the newly formed Greenup High School as Mother Holmes. She would make homemade presents for every one of her students throughout the week early mornings for her annual Mrs. Claus surprise visit. She loved teaching and loved having fun with the education process. Students have written me complimenting her teaching style and inspirations that she gave them to further themselves with educating others. She was not only a teacher, but my mother. She was kind, loving and always enthusiastic over each and every day. She loved Life, her Students and her Family. When she left us on January 19, 1985, at only 55 years old, our hearts were broken and a void was cast within our family. Through Youtube I hope to help heal that void and pay tribute and honor my mothers enjoyment of Life, Teachings and Fun. Because its not always what you ve learned from books that matter, as much as what Life, itself, has taught you along the way. I miss her every day.
