On this beautiful Monday morning, after dropping kiddos at school, - TopicsExpress

On this beautiful Monday morning, after dropping kiddos at school, I hit the trail. Most days, I walk alone so I can listen to work calls or just have time to think. As I began walking this morning, a police car sped quickly past me. Soon, I saw there was a commotion just ahead on the trail. I quickly prayed that it was no one that I knew. Upon arriving on the scene, before the firetruck, I was in awe with the way CPR was being administered. I did not know, at the time, that these two folks were the victims well trained colleagues. As I stood helplessly by, watching, the only thing that came to mind was to begin praying - over & over. Funny, how the subconscious takes over. Once the emergency crew arrived and more folks gathered at the scene, I felt out of place. It was as if the Holy Spirit was there and this was an area of sacredness - gawkers not invited. As I continued on the trail - today, my trail of tears - I was shaken to the core, resolving to leaving nothing undone. Im holding my loved ones extra close tonight. RIP Officer Garrett. The way you left this world left me with a most valuable lesson. dothanfirst/story/d/story/sgt-jeff-garrett-dothan-police-department/13545/BScTua7iokCazgvo8yPf_A
